STOP COOLANT LEAKS — QUICKLY, EASILY AND EFFECTIVELY

A pool of fluid forming under the vehicle caused by a leaking coolant component is not a welcome sight. When the cooling system springs a leak, it can quickly become a danger to the engine, but if treated quickly need not cost a fortune to remedy.

Plug the leak

The main thing to do if the cooling system is leaking, is to find the source. Has a hose come loose or is there a hole in the radiator? In most cases a simple low-cost solution will suffice. The coolant system repair additive BIZOL Radiator Repair+ r71, offers a quick and reliable solution to cooling system leaks and is suitable for use in all vehicle cooling and heating systems.

 

It is simplicity itself, because the additive seeks out leaks, wherever they are, not just in the radiator but the entire cooling system and then seals them safely. The use of special polymers mean that leaks are sealed effectively without any risk of clogging.

If you have to add water regularly or drops of coolant keep appearing under the vehicle then there is a problem which needs addressing.

 

Leaks from the heater matrix can also be a major headache, as often the entire dashboard need to be removed to effect a repair. Removing and refitting the dashboard to replace the heater matrix is usually a complex job and something to be avoided unless entirely necessary.

How does it work?

 

First, check that there is not a big hole in a cooling system component, our product is good but cannot plug major cracks, holes or do anything about a disconnected hose. The normal procedure is to make sure that there is enough coolant in the system and then just pour the contents of the tin into the radiator or expansion tank.

 

Safety first!

 

Before attempting any work on the cooling system, you must wait for the system to cool down fully. If the cooling system has boiled over, wait at least 15 minutes for the steam to clear and the system to cool down.

 

The cooling system is a pressurised system, which is why you must never remove the pressure cap before the system has cooled down, regardless of whether there is a leak or not. If you remove the pressure cap when the system is hot, the coolant can spray out and scald you!

 

Fill the cooling system to just below the maximum mark and pour in the contents of the tin.

 

Start the engine and let BIZOL Radiator Repair+ r71 do the hard work. Replace the pressure cap, start the engine and allow it to idle for 10-15 minutes, then switch off and let the cooling system cool down. Check the coolant level when the engine is cold, make sure there is enough coolant in the system and adjust as necessary.
